Return of the Jedi is Base for new Star Wars: Episode VII

Star Wars: Episode VII will be will be set 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed.

Disney took over the Star Wars franchise and it will be likely a good thing as Star Wars will come back in a big way 2015. J.J. Abrams is at the helm of the new Star Wars movie Star Wars: Episode VII. Now it got revealed that the new Start Wars movie will be set 30 years after Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. The news comes from Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger according to Reuters.

Return of the Jedi was in cinemas in 1983. Iger also confirmed that R2D2 is in the new Star Wars movie. The filming of the new Star Wars movie starts in May. 

Star Wars: Episode VII will be premiere on December 18 in 2015.
