LG's first ever smart LED light bulbs have been unveiled and this news seems to be quite exciting since the bulbs will be compatible with both iOS and Android. The LG Smart Bulb comes with the ability to connect with Android 4.3+ and iOS 6+ devices with the help of a Wi-Fi connection. Once this connection is formed, it will allow you to control it from your smartphones or tablets.
These low wattage smart bulbs are energy efficient and according to LG, they will work for more than a decade. To top up everything mentioned here the software that comes with the bulb has received some very interesting add ons from LG. Some of these exciting features include a security-oriented and turns the light on when you’re not home. More interestingly, there is a “party mode” as well where the bulb is going to flash in different colors in collaboration with the music that is being played. Though the bulb is expected to work with both operating systems of Android as well as iOS yet the bulb will only be functional for this feature on the Android OS upon launch. The launch is going to be in a couple of days and the bulb is expected to be priced at $32 for 35,000 KRW.
