LG's new Smart Bulb seems to have been inspired from Philips Hue smart bulbs which were handled through the iPhone. The new Smart Bulb by LG however will not only be compatible with the iOS but will also run with the Android. In order to start working the Smart Bulb will have to connect with either Android 4.3+ or the iOS 6+ devices with any Wi-Fi connection. After the connection has been successfully established, the Smart Bulb will then be controlled by the smartphones or tablets which run the Android OS or the iOS.
With a low wattage, the smart bulbs by LG seems to be energy efficient and if we take LG's word at this one then we should expect these bulbs to work up perfectly for up till a decade. The software which will handle the bulb is going to have some pretty cool features for instance the bulb will be security-oriented and it will turn on the lights when you’re not home. It also hosts a party mode which will allow you to flash the bulb in different colors in sync with the music that is being played. Some of the features might only be compatible with the iOS but they will soon make their way to the Android OS as well.
The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
