Many reputable sources have confirmed that the iPhone 6 will arrive within this year with more substantial handsets than its predecessors.
The Japanese firm, Nikkei has revealed that Apple’s future smartphone, the iPhone 6 will include two versions, i.e. one with a 4.7 inch display while the other having a 5.5 inch display. Nikkei also mentioned that the phone will soon be launched in September.
Both the variants are expected to contain fingerprint scans similar to the ones contained in the iPhone 5S. Manufacturers are on their way to creating unique features for the iPhone 6 whereas the production of the new models is perceived to start next month. It may be the case that the 4.7 inch model will arrive earlier, whereas the 5.5 inch display model will arrive post-2014. This is yet again a technological rumor, however given the success of the two variants of the iPhone 5, the 5c and the 5S, the launching of the 4.7 inch display phone earlier may be the preferred strategy.
Apple is known to take a longer time to modify some of its phone’s features as opposed to other companies such as Samsung. This leap from having phone displays lesser than 4 inches, to increasing them to 4.7 and even 5.5 seems quite a long one even for Apple, which makes it even more likely that there will be a time lag between the release of the two variants. Lastly, it is also expected that this time around Apple plans on truly upgrading and modifying its apps and features contained in future iPhone.
