Katherine Webb just got engaged to her fellow Alabama-born sweetheart, AJ McCarron.
Katherine Webb was extremely happy to announce that she got engaged to AJ McCarron and could not wait to show off her beautiful ring. She tweeted to confirm the news and posted pictures of the couple rejoicing over their newly formed engagement. The ring entailed a diamond surrounded by a halo setting. Katherine Webb further revealed that the ring was designed by her fiancé to show how much effort he had put into the proposal. AJ McCarron is formerly the quarterback at the University of Alabama. He has previously won around 3 national championships and won the title of best quarterback twice. He even won second place in the Heisman trophy race which took place in December 2013. McCarron attained the fifth position in NFL Draft Countdown despite not being able to increase the number of national championships he had won recently.
Katherine Webb is known for her title of Miss Alabama and even during the 2013 BCS National Championship Game, the commentator at ESPN, Brent Musberger seemed to place the spotlight right at her by virtue of her being there at the sidelines. The commentator later said sorry to Katherine Webb admitting that he realized the incident was a bit inappropriate. He called out Webb as a “beautiful woman” and announced that McCarron was lucky to have been in a relationship with her. He even remarked that quarterback generally get hold of all the beautiful girls out there. This garnered attention for Webb earning her a debut in the Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Following this, Katherine Webb appeared in one of Carl’s junior advertisements.
Katherine Webb has been dating AJ McCarron since the past two years, right after she graduated from Auburn University. The massive ring that rest on Webb’s ring finger is a testament to the longevity of their relationship.
