Microsoft Offers $100 Gift Card on Upgrade of Windows XP

Microsoft has an attractive deal for all those Windows XP device users who want to upgrade their devices. The tech giant is now offering a $100 gift card both in-store and online for those Windows XP users who will buy any Surface Pro 2 or select PCs over $599.

Microsoft has already announced that it will stop supporting Windows XP and Office 2003 on April 8, 2014. The Redmond is now encouraging all of its clientele to upgrade their 13 years old operating system. 

Microsoft is now offering an instant saving of $100 for all those Windows XP users on the purchase of a new device running Windows 8.1. Actually Microsoft will offer a $100 gift card to all those Windows XP user who will buy any Surface Pro 2 or select PCs over $599.

Microsoft really wants all of its older version customers to upgrade their devices. And it is also offering a 90 days of free support with $100 instant saving. This free support offers buyers a free premium phone, chat, and sales support for virtually anything they need on their new computer for the first 90 days.

Tech giant sweeten the deal by offering free data transfer. For this, Microsoft have partnered with Laplink, a data migration service to help new device buyers to transfer their personal photos, videos, music, and files for free.

This deal is valid 20th March 2014 until 15th June 2014, or while supplies last. This $100 gift card deal is available in select Microsoft retail and online stores in US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada. But to get this offer online and in-store, customers have to verify that they are currently using a Windows XP device.

The $100 upgrade offer is valid on select PC or Surface devices priced in range of $599 to $2,299. Excludes Surface 2 and some PCs. You can view the complete list of select devices here. But this offer is not valid on prior orders or purchases. 

Microsoft also states that this $100 offer cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or gift cards. And it is also not  combinable with other offers. And this deal is limited for 1 per Windows XP device. This discounted price does not include taxes, shipping or other fees.
