LaCie Fuel storage device has 2TB of capacity and more
LaCie has announced a new portable storage device that it is billing as a backup device for the iPad. It will work with gadgets other than the iPad via apps though. The storage device is called the LaCie Fuel. It launched earlier this year in a 1TB capacity. The new version of the Fuel has 2TB of storage inside.
The idea is that you can take this battery powered storage solution on the road with you to store content from your iPad and other devices. That effectively gives you more storage on your device since you can move it from the iPad internal storage to the Fuel.
The fuel can do more than store data. It can also be used as a WiFi hotspot when connected to a WiFi network. it doesn't need a WiFi network to stream content to smartphones that support the Seagate media App. Versions of that app are available for Android, iOS, and the Kindle fire.
The Fuel is AirPlay compatible for shooting content to the big screen. The internal battery is good for up to ten hours of use per charge. LaCie will start shipping the device sometime this month for $249.99. It will be available globally as well. 2TB of internal storage is enough to store over 1000 movies. This might be the perfect way to stream content to your device while on a road trip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
