Netgear Mingle mobile hotspot debuts with Virgin Mobile

If you travel with multiple devices and you want them all to have mobile internet connectivity, you don’t want to pay for a data plan for each device. Netgear has announced a new product called the Mingle mobile hotspot. That will be available on Virgin Mobile. This is the sort of device you want to share internet connectivity amongst multiple devices.

The Mingle is available with no contract and sells for $99.99. This is the first 4G LTE mobile broadband device that is on the Broadband2Go portfolio it is also the first in the industry to use Sprint Spark technology.

The Mingle supports 3G and 4G connectivity. Up to ten devices can connect to the mobile web at once via the device. It has an 1800mAh battery good for up to 12.5 hours per charge. It also has a 1.77-inch LCD that will help with device management.

Data plans for the device start at $5 per day for 250MB of data. Buyers can also get a 1.5GB monthly pan for $25 or a 6GB pan for $55 per month. Available accessories include a desktop charging cradle and the Mingle is compatible with a smartphone app for management.

“With long-range outdoor/indoor Wi-Fi and fast 4G LTE speeds, customers are able to surf and download quickly on Mingle when they’re out and about,” said Angela Rittgers, vice president-Marketing, Virgin Mobile USA. “The lightweight and sleek design, along with flexible daily and monthly payment options, makes this the perfect mobile solution to fuel customers’ on-the-go lifestyles.”

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
