The phone will charge with solar power and will come in a candybar form factor
It would be difficult for most of us to asscoiate the name Tag Heuer with mobile devices but we do acknowledge its love for making luxurious items and these products belong to na exotic upper class and are fashioned out of special materials. And since everyone was entering the bandwagon of luxury handsets, it was a welcome zone for this brand since it already caters to the luxury class. So we now welcome the latest handset by the luxury watch manufacturer and it is called the Meridiist Infinite.
Interestingly, the new handset comes in the form factor of a candybar and it has the ability to be charged from solar power. This has been made possible by placing thin photovoltaic cells in between the layers of the screen. These cells will charge automatically when they come under the influence of any natural or artificial light. This charging is then delivered to the battery. This means that the handset has the ability to offer perpetual stand-by time which will last as long as there is some source of light nearby.
These were the highlights of the handset althought we have some other details as well. The phone features a 2.4-inch TFT 320 x 240 LCD screen which comes along a monochrome OLED panel at the front which allows users to view some additional information. Moreover, the device sports dual-SIM functionality, has a 5 MP camera and a good 8 GB of storage space. All this will most probably be available for a price tag exceeding $5,000.
