Jason Segel and Katie Holmes not dating says source

A story is making the rounds that Katy Holmes and Jason Segel are dating. Segel is best known for the recently wrapped TV show How I Met Your Mother while Holmes was famously married to Tom Cruise and part of the Dawson's Creek cast.

The two actors met on the set of an episode of How I met Your Mother where Holmes guest starred. "The story is completely untrue," Holmes' rep Leslie Sloane tells Us Weekly. "The two have not spoken since she appeared on How I Met Your Mother."

Segel did date another Dawson's Creek star and was with Michelle Williams for about a year. The pair split in 2013. Holmes will also reportedly be coming back to TV soon with a show that as yet has no title. The show is described as a high society drama.

Holmes will take the role of a "well-bred and educated woman." That well-bred part sounds pretty stupid to me. Holmes also has a film coming out called The Giver in mid-August. She stars in that film with Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges, and Taylor Swift.

I'm still mad at the crappy ending to How I Met Your Mother. After all that time, how could they kill the mother off at the last moment like that and expect fans to be happy. Katie Holmes seems a bit too hot for Segel to me, what do you think?
