Apple Closes Arguments Against Samsung

Apple took a huge risk when they poured the amount of resources that they did into the iPhone. Unfortunately, they claim that Samsung took advantage of this effort at a very crucial time for the company, and tech companies as a whole. That is why they re asking for $2 billion in damages, despite being award $938 million previously.

According to Apple Balla their arguments have now concluded, though, and it will be up to Samsung to downplay the arguments that Apple’s team of experts have put forward in the past five days. If the jury rules in favor of either company, there will be very serious consequences as the company will be forced to freeze production and sales on some of their major devices. This could also mean a steep royalty being paid on products that were copies of Apple’s iPhones as well.

Apple has five patents that they are claiming Samsung infringed upon, which cover things from the slide to unlock feature to URL type links related to phone numbers and addresses. How much of this will be found to be a valid argument, we can’t say. It will be up to the jury to decide whether or not Samsung harmed Apple to the amount that Apple claims, but the fact remains that what comes next will be an incredibly important time for the technology industry.
