Some earlier reports had launched which suggested that Samsung is going to launch an Active edition of the S5 which is somewhat going to be similar to the Active S4 edition which came with water and dust resistance. However, this new model is going to have IP68 certification which will take water resistance to a new level; it means that the phone can be sunmerged in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to an hour and still function. The S4 Active verison was only able to stand a meter of water and could only be submerged for 39 minutes and no more. Although there has been no confirmation by Samsung for this new model but all sources have indicated towards the company's plans which at this time seem big enough.
