Felix Trinidad Halts $2.9 Million Payment

Felix Trinidad is not ready to pay the bank. The famous boxing star has reached a debt deal that temporarily halts $2.9 million payment to a bank.

Felix Trinidad is a big name in the field of boxing. He is such a big boxing star that his name is going to be added to the International Boxing Hall of Fame on June 8, 2014.

However, this great boxing star from Puerto Rico is now facing a financial crisis of sorts. A local bank Banco Popular has to take some money back from Trinidad. However, Felix Trinidad has now reached a debt deal with the bank that temporarily halts the $2.9 million payment.

Last week, the famous boxing star filed a complaint against his financial advisor for losses amounting to $63 million. Felix Trinidad blames his adviser for investing the money without his permission. However, Trinidad’s adviser has clearly stated that the accusations against him are not just true. 


41 year old Trinidad is a very famous boxer who remains on top of box office draws. His last fight, that he lost, against Roy Jones Jr. got 500,000 pay-per-views. But he is currently trying to resolve his financial issues in a rational way.
