Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan was arrested for DUI charges last September by New York State Police in Long Island. Now she has pleaded guilty for over-speeding and driving while drunk.
The alcohol test after her arrest revealed that she had 0.20 alcohol concentration in her blood which is more than the legal limit. And she was driving at a speed of 77 mph at the time of arrest while the maximum speed limit is 55 mph in that particular driving area.
According to Nassau County district attorney spokesman Paul Leonard, the court can sentence Lindsay Lohan's mother to do community service for 100 hours. And she can also be fined $3,000. She would also have to attend a drunken driving program and a victim impact session.
Dina Lohan is expected to be sentenced on June 3rd. And she can not drive until the installation of an interlock device in her car. However, Lindsay Lohan's mom’s lawyer Mark Heller told CNN that Dina can resume driving once the interlock device is installed, even though her license remains officially revoked.
"Considering this is the first day of Passover, we were very pleased to receive an offer which would resolve her criminal case in Nassau County with a commitment of no jail, no probation, and that afforded her the opportunity to resume her driving privileges shortly," Heller said. "She felt this was a great beginning for the Holy week and she was happy with that result."
