Film is about a year away form hitting theaters
Fans all around the world were heartbroken when actor Paul Walker died in a car crash late last year. Walker was in the middle of filming the seventh film in the Fast & Furious franchise. Many fans of the movies have been wondering just how the new film would finish with Walker having recorded about half his shots before his death.
Rumors had been circulating that doubles and CGI would be used in the film and that Walker's brothers could be part of the movie as well. It has now been confirmed via Facebook that two of Walker's brothers will be part of the film.
Caleb and Cody Walker will both help complete some of the remaining action sequences for their brother. Producers of the film have also confirmed via Facebook that shooting of the movie has resumed.
The note to fans reads, "We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too."
The release of this film is about a year away and it will be the last film that Walker ever shot. Walker is in a movie that has hit theaters recently called Mansions.
The statement said, "Our family experienced an unthinkable shock in November. We had to take time to grieve Paul, the brother we love and lost, and to figure out if we should move on with our film."
