The Library is a play that has been directed by Steven Soderbergh. And Michael Douglas is not only anti-violence, he also happens to be the peace ambassador for the United Nations.
His introduction of the book “Action for Disarmament” was meant to give tips on how to prevent weapons stockpiling. Especially nuclear weapons were the target of his diatribe. Douglas spoke of how his dad Kirk Douglas had a big family which belonged to the Belarus region from the former Soviet Union.
He mentioned the Chernobyl disaster in that context. Douglas wanted the children at the UN to know that they held immense power on an individual level to stop the arms race. They were the future and they held the fate of the nations of the world in their hands.
'I want to tell you that you hold enormous power, power to take part in changes to make the world a better and safer place to live,' Michael told DailyMail.
Catherine Zeta-Jones had a black form-fitting dress with a plunging neckline. Michael Douglas too donned a black coat and looked graceful. The two are currently working on preserving their marriage for the sake of each other not to mention their children.
