The prototype is going to be on display at the Beijing Motor Show
The latest prototype by Audi packs an E-Tron hybrid drivetrain and brings the TT Offroad Concept and this is going to take the standard TT family beyond the coupes and convertibles which we have known till yet. The prototype is going to be on display at the Beijing Motor Show and is going to have not one but two electric motors which will be placed on each of the axles. These motors will be brilliantly combined with 292HP turbocharged combustion engine to produce up to 408 horsepower total.
One of the most exciting things about this new concept is the ability of the wireless charging which makes this a plug-in hybrid which can easily be charged after parking in the appropriate parking spot. Even though Audi has access to this amount of power, it still claims that it can average up to 123.8 MPG. Autoblog has pointed out that much of the features of this new Audi prototype are in line with the Allroad Shooting Brake concept which was presented by Audi a few months ago at the Detroit Auto Show.
