Some modifications have been made to the original deal
The European Commission and the US Department of Justice had given their green signals to the deal between Nokia and Microsoft and it has been quite some while since this approval was received. The two companies had been waiting for approval from other regulatory authorities from different countries and the ones in China have also sent in its approvals. Now it seems like the two companies are on their way to the merger which faces no obstacles now.

In an official announcement, Microsoft stated that every necessary step has been completed and now the company is all set to takeover the devices and services of Nokia. The transaction will recah its final stage of completion on April 25th. During this time, some changes had been made to the original deal and now with some modifications, Microsoft does not get the right to manage the online assets of Nokia which will include the nokia.com domain and other social media sites. Some other changes have also been made. Originally, all the employees in Nokia's Chief Technology Office continuing with Nokia, that has been adjusted and now all 21 execs in China will join Microsoft. We had been waiting for a long period of seven months for this deal to finalize and now the time is here when it's finally done.
