Katie Holmes steals the show in her burgundy duchess satin dress
Katie Holmes has always had her ‘oh so gorgeous’ moments but she has never looked anything like this. The actress was recently seen at the screening of Miss Meadows on the Tribeca Film Festival on Monday, April 21. She had recently celebrated her daughter Suri’s 8th birthday and now she was all fresh and glowing at the red carpet. The 35 year old beauty was wearing a burgundy duchess satin dress by Zac Posen and the perfect folds and seams of the dress appeared as if they were meant for her perfect figure with every detail of the dress bringing out the best in her. While the centre folds all the more highlighted her slim waist, the off shoulder was certainly a good idea for showing off her well toned shoulders.
Though her shoulder length hair was kept simple and casual, there was a lot of texture in those strands and the overall look made her look even younger. However she did have her fun with the makeup. Her hazel eyes were adorned with a purple eyeliner on both top and bottom lashes. She has been the face of Bobbi Brown and in the recent years we have usually seen her with a more naked palette so this was a nice adventurous change she brought to her face. On the other hand, her berry stain lip color was more subtle and it helped to neutralize everything.
Talking of her movie Miss Meadows, Katie Holmes was given the role of a tap-dancing preschool teacher-slash-vigilante and about this the actress had to say a few words while speaking to Us Weekly, "What I love about this character is she’s a strong female character. I think women are very strong. I gravitate towards seeing strong female characters and playing them."
The Giver star Jeff Bridges also serves as a producer of the film based on the Newbery award winning book by Lois Lowry. He’s been trying to make this movie for so long that his first thought for casting the title role was his pop -- and he sought to also helm it.
“I originally wanted to direct my father, Lloyd Bridges, in the film and I wanted to make a movie that my kids could see. They were all young kids at the time. And I was looking a ... Source: movie fanatic

Aaron Rodgers Believes Penalties Will Diminish
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers believes the number of penalties being called against teams -- which has been high during the preseason -- will eventually diminish once the regular season kicks off on Sept. 7.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home.
