The defect is probably there due to complications in camera-related parts of the ROM

Samsung had recently itself confirmed about the camera defects in their new Galaxy S5 handsets and though we expect a few bugs and issues with newer handsets, this is certainly a grave issue. Imagine spending a good sum of your money on a new flagship device such as this only to find out later that it has a wonderful camera which simply won’t function for you. Well, this surely is pretty sad. But majority don’t need to worry about this issue because even Samsung has stated that the defect is only present in a fraction of its units.

It was initially thought that the Verizon bound S5 is more likely to be defected and that US might have the most defected S5 handsets and Samsung was even planning to give an exact number but it looks like they haven’t done anything about it. Mostly because the problem is not confined merely to the US or the Verizon devices in particular; it is also affecting units in other countries as well.

The statements have revealed the cause of the problem. Samsung thinks that the defected cameras are probably the result of some complications in the ROM and particularly those parts which are related to the camera. And now more caution is being extended towards the newly manufactured devices.
