Amanda Knox is said to have had a heated argument with Meredith Kercher before she took part in her murder. Her Italian boyfriend and another man were accomplices in the deed.
Anger can get someone so down that they decide to murder the person against whom they harbor ill will in their hearts. Such was the strange case of Amanda Knox.
Amanda Knox and her Italian love interest, Raffaele Sollecito were charged with the murder of Meredith Kercher who shared their apartment. Another person who was involved was a man named Rudy Guede.
Knox, Sollecito and Guede were charged with first degree murder and put behind bars by an Italian court. Yet Knox and Sollecito were released exactly four years after the imprisonment due to an appeal. Guede remains in jail though.
Now another Italian court has brought forward forensic DNA evidence that points the finger at Knox and Sollecito with surety. Their original sentence of some 26 and 25 years in prison will have to be revised.
Meanwhile, Knox who is currently in the United States has issued a statement to the effect that she is innocent. Knox said, "I was found innocent by the only court in Italy that retained independent forensic experts to review my case."
The whole business of raised tempers and physical attack began when Meredith expressed irritation at some of Knox’s behavioral antics to Guede.
That was when a yelling match began between Knox and Sollecito on one side and Meredith on the other. While Guede pinned Meredith down, the two lovers stabbed her with knives repeatedly till she lay in a pool of blood.
The larger of the two knives, "which produced the wound on the left part of the neck and from which spurted most of the blood which caused Meredith Kercher's death, was held by Amanda Knox," court document said.
It was a most brutal and vicious form of killing. There were rumors that it all occurred in a mutually decided sex and drug fueled attack, but in fact no such foul play was involved.
The fact that Guede’s DNA samples were found inside Meredith’s body means that he had raped her too. And both Knox’s and Sollecito’s DNA was found on the knives with which Meredith was so savagely stabbed in the throat and other areas of her body.
Yet Amanda Knox vows that she had absolutely nothing to do with the murder. She furthermore wants to clear her name from the list of Meredith’s murderers.
