The mini version will be available through Verizon in the US and Telia in Sweden
The mini version for the HTC M8 has already been announced and this mini variant has a new name which just came out. This new smaller version of HTC’s latest flagship will be called the HTC One mini 2. Thanks to @evleaks, we have once again learned about the phone prior to official release. The ‘leaksters’ have done it once again and this new name was announced in their recent tweet.

The device however will not be so small after all. It is going to feature a 4.5 inch display with a 720p resolution. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 400 chipset with quad-core Cortex A7 CPU which will be clocked at 1.4 GHz and the 1 GB in RAM is also sufficient considering it’s the ‘mini; version. The internal memory has 16 GB in it and is also expandable by microSD. The camera setup is also pretty impressive with a 13 MP main camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing shooter. Other features include the Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6.0 UI on top.
Looks like @evleaks has been doing some pretty efficient job with this new mini version because it had also previously given away that Verizon will carry the upcoming One mini 2 but one thing still remains a mystery that whether the carrier is exclusively going to offer the phone or not. Less information has been provided for countries outside the US but we do know that a Swedish carrier Telia will be offering the smartphone after it accidentally listed the One mini 2 on its website.
