Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh has packed up her trailer and filmed her final moment, scene and episode on the long-running medical drama.
Now that the actress has wrapped her 10-season journey, viewers will buckle up for what promises to be an emotional farewell to Oh's Dr. Cristina Yang that will play out over the next three episodes of the ABC medical drama.
To mark Oh's farewell, creators Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers as well as the cast -- past and present -- over the course of season 10 to get their thoughts on working with Oh, how her storyline should end and their heartfelt memories and lessons, many of which have not been shared before.
As for Oh, the actress tells THR that she wants Cristina's story to end in a "celebratory" fashion. "I want it to be celebratory and that we all get to a place where we're happy to see her go," she told The Hollywood Reporter during a set visit for the 200th episode. Every so often a crewmember will look at me in a certain way or hug me in a certain way and I know what it's about.
We don't say anything but I know what it is. It will be hard to say goodbye."
Also offering their thoughts are alums including Katherine Heigl, Eric Dane, Kim Raver, Chyler Leigh, Scott Foley and Isaiah Washington, the latter of whomreturns this week to set up Cristina's exit. We wish her all the best as she departs the show.
