The host of the show Carson Daly tried to gather their opinions on how they felt like after the performance. Gwen spoke about how excited she was about singing before the jubilant crowd.
"What am I not excited about?" Stefani told Carson (via USWeekly). "Like two minutes ago I was giving birth and now I'm standing here in front of all these [people]. It's incredible!"
Gwen recently gave birth to her third child. Yet she was fit as a fiddle and sported six pack abs. Pharrell Williams expressed his luck to be with a marvelous singer such as Gwen.
"Those guys are two pros, two great additions to our family here. It was good to see them," Carson gushed to E! News when we caught up with him after the show. "I haven't seen Gwen Stefani perform in awhile and she's just on it and Pharrell's just fantastic!"
Together the two had worked their magic in the field of singing superb songs. Their talent duo was simply remarkable for its range of voice ability and soaring melodiousness. The timbre, the resonance and the high notes all made for an excellent show.
Carson also complimented the duo's "chemistry," noting that they have "previous history" because they actually cowrote "Hollaback Girl," Stefani's 2005 hit, which they performed on Monday night. "They're going to be great additions to the show," he told E!.
Later on, Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher posed with Pharrell and Gwen for a brief photo session. Christina Aguilera meanwhile also tweeted her friend Gwen on her song performance.
The song that got sung was a wildly popular number that generated quite a response from the audience. The chanting and shouting that goes on in the song reminds one of the hollering going on among fans at a football stadium.
