Apple is expected to be announcing a number of new products in June at the Worldwide Developer Conference, but we still don’t know for sure what they will be. Expected to be among the products are the iPhone 6, though, which could be why Apple is rumored to be encouraging existing customers to upgrade to an iPhone 5c or 5s while they still can.
Apple Balla reports that once the iPhone 6 is officially announced, all upgrades will likely stop so that people can wait for the latest and greatest. In encouraging upgrades in the month leading up to the conference, however, Apple will be able to clear out stock and make a rushed sale of as many iPhone 5s as possible without having to worry about having too many leftover once the iPhone 6 is released.
Once that happens, everyone will anxiously be awaiting the release. There are thought to be two different models coming out, a 4.7” and a 5.5” one, and Apple has already accepted samples of the screens that they will be using. Production is rumored to be ramping up quickly, so we’ll see a release sooner than we might think. Keep an eye on this page for more information as it becomes available.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
