Zoe Saldana has said that the original movie titled Rosemary’s Baby was such a classic horror film that it can hardly be duplicated. Based on Ira Levin’s famous novel of the same name, the Rosemary’s Baby basically depicts a woman who gets caught amidst a coven of witches.

"He did it so well and it should never be duplicated," the actress and producer told reporters on Wednesday. Rosemary’s Baby Remake writers are Scott Abbott and James Wong, and director is Agnieszka Holland.
She goes on to have a baby by one of them and the child is the devil’s spawn. The remake is being made willy-nilly though and the first difference is that the venue is Paris instead of NYC.
The city was more conducive to depicting the spirit of darkness. Unlike the prototype, there will be no frills attached in case of the new one.
Whereas Mia Farrow had very short hair, Zoe will not be chopping off her locks anytime soon. Then this time around the female character that Zoe Saldana is to play will be closer to realism. She won’t be overly feminine.
Furthermore, Mia has not been contacted in order to play any role or even to engage in advisory purposes in the remake. And while the appearance of the series on Mothers’ Day may make one think that the gore and gratuitous sex scenes will be toned down, no such thing will be happening.
It is just as violent and explicit as the first one. The husband who has made a pact with the devil is to get more footage too. Zoe is a member of an ethnic minority so that will be a good change in the remake. And as for the criticism that will come afterwards, it is to be expected.
"Of course you’re going to be a little afraid, but once you realize that, overall, every time you remake something or redo something or retell something, it’s never going to be accepted by everybody, you just remove that pressure off the table," Saldana said of receiving a negative response for taking the classic to the silver screen."
“If you don’t like the new, just respect the fact that it was a bold decision, it took a great amount of wit and 'cajones,' and go back to your classic. It’s okay! You’re not being disloyal. You’re just watching new things," Zoe added.
Nothing significant was ever accomplished without some degree of opposition from the majority. The movie had a cult following which is not about to lessen in its intensity.
