The Game Will Feature The Latest Expansion
The word has been out for the gaming community on the release of Diablo III on next generation consoles for some months now -- but the official date has finally been set for the online game's release date.
According to Blizzard's Battle.net site the game will feature new content that is exclusive for consumers who pick up the game for their PS4 or Xbox One consoles. The "Reaper of Souls" expansion set one of the most notable content packages that comes with the original game as well.
In the Reaper of Souls expansion, the five valiant heroes from Diablo III—Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Monk, Witch Doctor, and Wizard—are joined by a new champion: the Crusader. Clad head to toe in fortified armor, the Crusader is an unstoppable force of righteous destruction who channels the power of divine wrath to visit retribution upon his demonic quarry.
"On August 19, the Angel of Death invades console systems everywhere as Diablo® III: Reaper of Souls™ - Ultimate Evil Edition™ launches on the PS3™, PS4™, Xbox 360®, and Xbox One®. Prepare your living room now, nephalem, because by summer's end you'll face off against Death himself—with up to four players banding together on a single TV screen," reported Battle.net.
The package set will be sold for $60 for PS4 and Xbox One, and $40 for PS3 and 360. “Ultimate Evil” includes both the original game, and the expansion that was recently released for PC. The game will allow transfer of old characters from the original console release of the game to this new version, even if you’re jumping from last generation console to the current generation console system.
Details on individual retailer pre-purchase packages haven't been announced at this time -- but Battle.net did give some details on Infernal Pauldrons pre-order bonus that will come with every pre-purchase of the game.
"Wearable at level 1, these devilishly handsome shoulder plates provide bonuses to Vitality, Life per Second, and Cooldown Reduction, and are primed and ready for transmogrification."
