The phones are pretty much different but also very similar in greater ways and will target the same market segment

There is no doubt about the growing demand of large screen smartphones and this is why that this time around, Apple is going to be competing with other rivals for the size and people simply cannot get enough of the next big thing out of Cupertino. A comparison has been done of the iPhone 6 with the latest HTC flagship the One M8 and this will give a better perspective of things from the iPhone 6’s side.

As well already know, the phone is going to come in two different models. The first one is going to be the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 and the bigger model will follow soon afterwards with a 5.5 inch display. The larger of the two is going to be delayed a bit due to the problems related to manufacturing the screen / battery so this tells us that the all the leaks which we have seen so far have been about the 4.7 inch version. The HTC One comparison shows that the phone is most likely to be closer to the Apple’s way of handling smartphones. It features a higher end device which is more like Apple’s way and though it features a display which is larger than Apple smartphones but both the phones are going to have a similar target market.

So Apple is left to compete with a strong handset which is currently available in the market. Though the iPhone 6 appears to be shorter but it is a lot thinner. HTC may have taken a few leaves out of Apple’s book in applying a high grade finish to its latest humdinger, but Apple’s apparent love for a thinner profile is more than evident here once again. From what we are hearing, the iPhone 6 is going to adopt a lot from the current iPod touch and even the finish will be a great deal more curvaceous than the current iPhone 5s.
