Apple to Add Split-screen Multitasking to iPad with iOS 8

The latest tablets from Apple Incorporated and Microsoft match each other in a fiercely competitive spirit. The two large conglomerates have locked horns with each other alright.

Microsoft had come up with its Surface that has a multitasking feature called “snap” through which users can snap multiple apps onto the screen It is a very popular feature. And Microsoft has even launched an ad in which tech giant compares its Surface tablet's multitasking features with an iPad. Watch the add below.

But Apple Incorporated is said to be working on something even more superb. Apple is reportedly planning to add split-screen multitasking facility to iPad with iOS 8 that will allow users to run and interact with two iPad applications simultaneously. This is a nifty feature and definitely for all the nerds of the planet. And the good thing is that it can perform in a multitasking manner on iOS 8. This operating system will take Apple one step higher in matters of functionality and durability.

This new split-screen iPad multitasking feature will allow customers to use two iPad apps at the same time. And the sources also said that this new iPad multitasking feature will even allow apps to more easily interact.

According to 9to5Mac, "A split-screen iPad multitasking feature has been requested by iPad fans for several years and some designers have even designed sample user-interfaces and videos for how they would like the feature to function. The feature is said to be designed with the 9.7-inch iPad display in mind, and it is unclear if the feature will work on the smaller-screened iPad mini.

The feature is said to work exclusively in landscape mode, which allows for increased screen space. The feature may also be key to a larger-screened iPad, which Apple is actively developing for a launch either later this year or in 2015."

The transformation in the technological evolution of this platform has only helped Apple to a considerable degree. The iPad user base may now connect double devices at one and the same time thanks to iOS 8. Till now only a single iPad worked perfectly on the platform.

But now that is all about to change. Microsoft is not the only organization that can play about with high tech stuff. Apple Incorporated has literally torn a page from Microsoft’s scrapbook and created a gadget with similar capabilities as the Surface. And that is no mean feat.

Microsoft's Surface had multitasking features by means of which many applications could be utilized on the gizmo. The contraption by Apple will meanwhile be a progressive footnote to future computer science and information technology.

The applications may be allowed to perform more functions via Apple’s broad spectrum of facilities. This new feature had been in the pipeline since a long time as the demand had always been there. A whole cornucopia of new features will be fitted in interlocking fashion on the contraption.

iCloud and a Maps application are just two examples from countless small tweaks that have been made to enhance the workability of the contraption. And the quick responses and streamlining of sensory sophistication in the device by Apple makes it stand up to anything ever built by Microsoft.
