Motorola Alert app available on Moto G LTE and Moto E

With Motorola you will now have a faster and more efficient way of sending out alerts to your friends and family members in case of an emergency. This new method has been introduced by the company to allow phone users to immediately alert someone so they can know where they are, and track them down in an emergency situation. This application so far is only available for the Motorola Moto G LTE and the new Motorola Moto E.

Motorola Alert has been designed in such a way that it can instantly get connected to the emergency services and in order to alert a contact all it requires is a tap with the finger. A list of contacts can be alerted if a user of this app enters or leaves certain pre-determined areas. This way the people who are alerted will instantly know where the person sending the alert is at that moment. And the app can be set up to ping specified contacts with the user's latest location (via GPS) periodically. Though the app is currently working on the two Motorola phones mentioned above, the updated version of the app will come out soon and will then be supported by the Motorola Moto G and the Motorola Moto X. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
