Tomorrow the pink Galaxy S5 will be released to a rapt consumer audience. By and large though, it is a Japanese phenomenon.
The think-pink Galaxy S5 is about to enter the market. But the real market for it is none other than the land of the rising sun. Yes, Japan is supposed to be the real deal for the Samsung Galaxy S5. And its color is a beautiful salmon pink.
"On May 15th, the Galaxy S5 will finally be released in Japan. As the last country where the Galaxy S5 will be launched, a special pink model of the Galaxy S5 is being offered," Samsung states officially.
The biggest reason for this color being so popular in Japan may be the fact that it is full of cherry blossoms. Their pink petals appear to be a sight for eyes used to the aesthetic in everyday affairs. Termed the “Sakura”, they can be seen throughout the land that gave us Nikon Cameras and Suzuki Cars.
Each year many people congregate to view the beautiful blossoms in parks and public places. In the capital Tokyo, there are many parties dedicated to the cherry blossoms. Even the Hello Kitty effect is obvious in the form of the hue. The entire society seems to be obsessed with pink down to their very roots.
By the way, this has happened before. Samsung has had a pink smartphone in its repertoire. But the Samsung Galaxy S5 is especially for the people of Japan who will enjoy its special features. They just have to wait one more day and then the procrastination will be over.
There are two colors it comes in: Sweet Pink and Champagne Pink. The first is very bright and showy. As for the second, it is more sophisticated and less glitzy. The former is for kids and teenagers. It is also a girly smartphone.
But Champagne Pink is for the seasoned lady with a lot of experience under her belt. The smartphone lends new meaning to the Aerosmith song “Pink”. You just have to think pink and the rest will follow like the colors of the rainbow.
The sweet pink Galaxy S5 also called "Soft Metallic Rose" is offered by NTT DoCoMo while the "Champagne Pink" model that has "Warm Shiny Gold" is offered by KDDI.
Tomorrow's launch of Samsung Galaxy S5 in Japan will complete its worldwide release. And Samsung says that Galaxy S5 has made new record of shortest release time in the most countries around the world for a single smartphone model. Samsung Galaxy S5 is launched in around 150 countries in just 35 days, since its launch on April 11th.
