Charles Weedman, the lawyer of Claudine Longet in the famous shooting case, died at the age of 86.

Charles Weedman is the lawyer who defended Claudine Longet in her ex-boyfriend, Vladimir (Spider) Sabich's shooting case. Spider was an Olympic skier. 

Claudine Georgette Longet is a famous French singer and actress who rose to fame in the 1960s. Claudine Longet married pop singer Andy Williams in 1961. They remain married until 1975. Claudine Georgette lived a private life after 1977 due to her conviction in Spider's death case. 

Charles Weedman was a Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer who represented Claudine Longet in the shooting case of her ex-boyfriend. According to 680News, "Longet was charged with manslaughter in the killing of "Spider” in Aspen, Colorado, in 1976.

However, Charles Weedman argued with the judge that the shooting was an accident. Weedman gained a legal victory and Longet was convicted only for "criminally negligent homicide". She was sent to jail just for a month and was also allowed to serve on weekends.

Claudine Longet's famous lawyer Charles Weedman died Wednesday night at the age of 86. Weedman’s son, Jonathan, said that his father was suffering from Parkinson’s disease since the past five years.
