Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer starrer comedy series "Partners" is all set to premiere on Monday, August 4th on FX.
Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer will play the roles of two Chicago lawyers in “Partners.” They will belong to two extremely different backgrounds. And when they unexpectedly meet in court, both face a personal crisis of their own. They will become friends and partners afterwards.
"Bad Boys" and "Big Momma" star Martin Lawrence is famous for his long-running TV show "Martin". Kelsey Grammer is famous for her role in "Cheers" and she is still associated with the show for its spin-off "Frasier." She is also playing the lead role in the Starz political drama "Boss."
"Partners" can be a big hit comedy series due to the presence of these two big comedic actors. Other cast members of the series include: Telma Hopkins, Rory O’Malley, McKaley Miller, Edi Patterson and Danièle Watts.
Bob Boyett and Robert Horn will run the show while they are also the executive producers of the series along with: Lawrence, Grammer, Brian Sher, Stella Bulochnikov, Michael Green and Sam Maydew.
Lionsgate Television will present the series in association with Grammnet NH Productions and You Go Boy Productions. Debmar-Mercury will be the distributor.
FX has used a similar 10/90 development model for Lawrence's "Partners" that was initially used for Charlie Sheen's starrer "Anger Management." The TV network has initially ordered 10 episodes of “Partners”.
FX will air these 10 episodes for five consecutive weeks. Two back-to-back episodes of "Partners" will be aired from 9-10 p.m. And if this initial run of opening the 10 episodes will meet the network's assigned ratings thresholds, FX will order and air an additional 90 episodes.
