Ryan Hunter-Reay won Indy 500

Ryan Hunter-Reay won the Indy 500 2014. The Florida resident never won the Indy 500 race before. Last year he had bad luck with yellow flag incident. Ryan Hunter-Reay made before already to #3. He definitely was up for the win.

Hunter-Reay was driving the No. 28 DHL car for Andretti Autosport. He held off three-time Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves by a only .0600 of a second, which was the second-closest margin of victory in the history of the Indy 500.

"It's a dream come true," said Hunter-Reay, who is the first American winner since Sam Hornish Jr. in 2006. "This (race) is American history; this is better than a championship. I hope the fans loved it because I was on the edge of my seat."& Watch below a 10 minute video with the 2014 Indy 500 highlights.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
