The clean cut image of the famous boy band, One Direction may not be all there is to the group. Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson's dark side exposed in a shocking video.
It’s strange how the very people we look up to as role models for our society turn up to be criminal delinquents in the end. One Direction is a pop band that is known for their delightful and full of life lyrics.
Millions of adolescent girls and even their mothers have testified to the wholesome image of the boy band in the same vein as NKOTB was way back in the early 1990s. Yet, there is more to that false exterior.
A video clip has emerged of two members of the band discussing drugs and smoking a joint of marijuana while on their Latin American tour. Louis Tomlinson is heard in the background announcing their departure from Peru.
‘What do you think about that kind of content?’ he asked. As he asks fellow band mate Zayn Malik about his thoughts on the lit joint in the car, the answer is “very controversial”.
Watch a clip of this video below.
Now that this shocking video is out in the open, and under public scrutiny, it is bound to upset many previous die hard fans and their parents. And that poor old “Master of Rudeness and Straightforwardness” Simon Cowell will not be able to groom the band he wanted to take to super-celebrity status in a jiffy.
Cold water has been thrown on his plans for now. The two guilty members of the funky and fun boy band will probably not be allowed to re-enter the United States due to the drug abuse they partook in.
According to MailOnline, "During the 15-minute journey Louis and Zayn joke with each other and the three members of their team travelling with them. Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Niall Horan, all 20, are not in the car but presumably elsewhere in the band’s convoy making its way through the streets."
The band members are shown in the video shots taking turns getting high on marijuana joints and even provoking a police officer on a motorcycle who passed by their car window. They ask each other strange questions in a semi-drunk fashion.
A member of the band’s security and the driver says with delight, ‘It’s about the joint. What a great thing to capture in a different language. They were just asking if it’s okay.’ A member of the team asks about the filming: ‘Are we allowed to talk contraband in this?’ Louis replies: 'Yes, that's what it is about.'
Louis also said, ‘One very very important factor of Zayn’s warm up of course if Mary J herself. In fact I will present it to him now for some fantastic singing.’
Later on the group performed before tens of thousands of crazed fans in the stadium. It may well be their last performance since they seem to be in big trouble for now. However, a spokesman for One Direction tonight told MailOnline, 'The matter is now in the hands of our lawyers'.
