Alabama’s Lane Kiffin has loaded heaps of praise on his team’s running backs.
He is anything but a boring personality. Lane Kiffin is a very frank and brutally straightforward person who is a fan of radical honesty. His dialogue is not rehearsed and comes straight from the heart.
That is precisely the quality that makes him so much admired and in demand in a hypocritical world that has so many things wrong about it. And though he sometimes puts his foot in his mouth, we only love him all the more for his candid spirit and truthfulness.
In the capacity of an offensive coordinator for Alabama he spoke recently in Mobile, Ala. about the running backs he is responsible for. He started speaking at length about how he took all he had in the way of hard-won experience and simply gave his team a shot of it. However, that won’t make the running backs come out on top.
"As you guys know extremely well, I think the offense is led by the tailbacks," Kiffin said. "... There probably aren't three more talented tailbacks in the NFL on a roster than we're fortunate to be able to work with at Alabama."
The Alabama threesome that consists of T.J. Yeldon, Drake and Derrick Henry has had a great boost in self esteem thanks to the remarks by Lane Kiffin. They played the game with skill and talent.
Every move defined their state of mind and it was a match that was unpredictable to the extreme. The three sure have made it into the local news. They are phenomena in their own right.
"Finishing his true freshman year at 245 pounds, running 4.4, that was really easy to come in and see that it'd be good to give him the ball," Kiffin said of Henry.
And Lane Kiffin is right behind them in their acts on and off the field. They are powerful individuals who have the physical strength and mental toughness to tackle the opposition in a sensible way. With the principles that Kiffin instilled in them, they are ready to take on not just an opposing team but any team in the world.
And with the hardest and most honest coach in the sports world, they have every chance of winning big time in the future. Three cheers for Kiffin and his running backs!
