The Files app is now available for Windows 8.1 users
It looks like Microsoft is good at keeping its word and making customers happy; the promised file-manager app for Windows Phone 8.1 is now available for download since May 30. It was only the start of May when the Microsoft officials stated that by the end of the month, they are going to throw in a Microsoft-developed file manager and they did.
The new app called Files is absolutely free and can be downloaded now from the Windows Phone Store. The Windows Phone 8.1 can now be enjoyed by those who had waited for it long enough. The OS comes preloaded on some of the latest devices such as the Lumia 630 and apart from this it is also available for download in its developer preview form. The preview bits can be enjoyed by anyone on their Windowss 8 devices but for this they will have to sign up as developers.
This new app is going to make lives much easier by allowing users to easily access their files stored on their phones and SD cards. The app has multiple benefits and uses; it can let you browse, search and launch files; share one file or multiple files; create folder for organizing files; and copy, move, rename and delete files.
