HP unveils its new Chromebook

Check out HP's new Chromebook.

HP entered the Chromebook market last year with the announcement of the Chromebook 14 and the Chromebook 11. Today, HP is introducing a new Chromebook that is powered by Samsung's Exynos 5250 dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz.

The new HP Chromebook mimics the design philosophy of the older Chromebook 14, although the display size is still small at 11.6 inches. There's also a new pair of color flavors: Snow White and Ocean Turquoise.

The Chromebook has a 11.81 x 8.10 x 0.81 dimension and it weighs 2.69 pounds. Others features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, a front-facing VGA camera, a 2GB RAM, up to 16GB of storage (plus 100GB of Google Drive storage), and up to 6 hours of battery life.

HP's new Chromebook will be available in July for $279.99.

It's worth noting that Chromebooks are running Google's very own operating system which is extremely light and has access to countless apps via the Chrome Store.
