Mac OS X Yosemite comes with new Safari

With the new OS X Yosemite Safari has undergone few visual changes along with improvements and new features. The new Safari now has the flat look which plays better with the new OS. The favourite bar is not visible now and according to Craig we don't need a separate favourite bar! We can now access all our favourites by clicking the address bar which makes it easier to access all our favourite links.

We now get a bird's-eye view for the tabs and we can scroll between them easily. There's also a new spotlight search which not only gives you the regular google search suggestions but also displays additional suggestions from different sources like wikipedia. Apple now claims that the new Safari won't need additional video plugins to play videos which will give additional 2 hours of 1080p video playback on Macbook Air.

Apple also claims that Safari has the fastest JavaScript compiler of any other browser in the market. The new Safari also features one-click social sharing along with sidebar RSS feeds. It also features a new private browing mode which can be used other than the regular tabs allowing you to browse privately without worrying about te regular tabs.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
