Apple’s announcement to allow third party controllers has certainly ticked off the game for the vendors. There is a still a debate going on whether Apple made the right decision or not by allowing third party peripherals because there are iOS devices and people feel strongly towards them and then there are these unknown third party devices. However, we still keep getting constant flow of MFi controllers spawns at least one new model per week and today it was SteelSeries which is showing off its new Stratus XL MFi controller. It quite resembles the game pad of the Xbox 360.
This explains why this Stratus MFi controller might just be the perfect choice for you. If we remember, Microsoft had to spend a great deal of time and money to develop a controller such as this one and if SteelSeries has done it right, we are quite impressed. Apple had been telling its customers that a set of touch-based controllers are enough for gamers but this is not entirely true and we know it.
Gaming titles have become more intense and particularly those which require first person shootings and this demands accuracy which can only be achieved through proper controllers.
