A 36-year old Taiwanese visitor to Yellowstone National Park was killed by a falling tree on Monday afternoon.

A Taiwanese tourist who was hiking the Fairy Falls trail in Yellowstone National Park along with a group of hikers got killed by a falling tree on Monday afternoon.

The falling pine tree hit the international visitor on the head when he left his trail and went towards the slope of the tree in order to get a better view of Grand Prismatic Spring.

The visitors who witnessed the falling tree incident immediately went back and told the park employees about the unfortunate incident.

The Yellowstone security moved the severely injured tourist to the trailhead to send him to the hospital via a medical aid helicopter.

However, the victim was declared dead at the scene as the helicopter couldn’t reach the spot immediately due to bad weather conditions. The name of the killed tourist is not yet revealed.
