The headphone jack that is rumored to be missing is causing anger among some

There are a lot of reasons to look forward to the new iPhone 6, including a much larger screen that has been long awaited among Apple fans. Unfortunately, one change has many angered due to the rumored lack of a traditional headphone jack.

Apple has recently purchased Beats for $3 billion, a leader in headphone technology. In an effort to improve the audio and microphone capabilities of their devices, Apple may be planning to get rid of the headphone jack and switch to a type that will plug into the charging port.

This is similar to the change that they made with the chargers with the iPhone 5, when many customers were left purchasing adapters in order to use their existing chargers with the new devices. The reasoning behind this decision is very sound, however, as the current headphones that Apple distributes might not be capable of the kind of technology that they have in store for the next update to their iPhone line.

They still have not confirmed whether or not they are going to be making this change for sure, but it seems like a likely change that would make sense given the recent acquisition. This would also save space, something that Apple is always trying to do whenever they make changes to their devices.
