Apple has announced that there are a few safety related issues with some European iPhone USB adapters and hence a replacement program is being run by the company to avoid any major mishaps. This replacement program is going to be for those users who have the faulty products. One has to be very careful while dealing with USB adapters because they have to go through the usual issues of rampant bootlegging, with knock-off adapters often wreaking havoc by damaging devices and, in extreme cases, causing minor explosions.
Some people go for adapters which are cheaper and this is not at all encouraged. We always think that the only way to avoid ending up with faulty products is by spending some extra money and getting our hands on the original one which has been tested by the company. But it seems like no one can be sure of anything because even the adapters being manufactured by Apple itself are turning out to be defected now. Now Apple is setting things right through its replacement program and users in possession of the defected adapters can get a replacement free of cost.
