George Clooney not only has handsome looks but he is considering a political career some time in the future.

The suave and genial actor, George Clooney is giving a career in politics some serious thought. His case is no different from that of the late Ronald Reagan (The Teflon President) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Gubernator).

Clooney wants to serve a stint as Governor of California. He has already worked to bring President Obama into office and he is liked by most Democrats. The 2022 presidential race may see him contend for office. Were Clooney to become the Governor of California he would have a career that resembles Ronald Reagan to a T.

A friend of George Clooney said, "George is hugely popular with the Democrats and where better place to put him than as the Governor of California, the home of Hollywood."

"It has always been a huge stronghold for the party and one that has a proven record for getting politicians into the Oval office. Now that Amal is by his side it has boosted his credentials even higher."

To just imagine George Clooney in the White House is to conjure up images of his wife, a British citizen, being the first English First Lady in the Oval Office. And a former actor as the Governor of California (which is Hollywood Country) would be ideal.

Clooney’s dad was a journalist in his times. And so he is a liberal and has oftentimes spoken out on matters having to do with human rights and the political climate.

Clooney shows a concern for the world and its people seldom seen in the actors and actresses of Tinsel Town. In particular, in an interview, Clooney said that he was proud of being a liberal.

He also said that didn’t know since when it was such a big crime to be called a liberal. Clooney condemned the 80s as an era when the word “liberal” and “liberalism” were given negative connotations.

He contended that what liberals stood for was good and fair on the whole. They had struggled for an end to slavery and they had fought for women’s rights. He furthermore said that the Anti-Communist Witch Hunt was absolutely wrong and so was the very idea of a war in Vietnam.

In a recent Interview, Clooney told Larry King, "I'm a liberal. I'm confused when that became a bad word. I think what happened over a period of time probably in the late 1980s when it became sort of a political tool."

"The liberal movement morally, you know, has stood on the right side of an awful lot of issues. We thought that blacks should be allowed to sit at the front of the bus and women should be able to vote, McCarthy was wrong, Vietnam was a mistake."

George Clooney said that his parents were both liberal democrats and they kept the candle burning. They stood for what was good and ideal. And the values they followed got instilled in Clooney who wants to honor both in his life by running for office.
