Bad news for all those who had been anticipating any announcement for the Nexus 6 since we have every reason to believe that LG wont be making one. At least that’s what one of the executives at the company had to say. Ken Hong, LG's global communications director, reportedly said that he has no idea about any Nexus 6 in development and hasn’t heard anything about it yet.
Isn’t it obvious that the executive at LG would have known about a phone if it was in the pipeline. And seeing from the past releases of the Nexus phones, they usually appear in fall which leaves little time for the Nexus 6, if there had to be any and of course Hong should have been told about it by now. There had been some rumors going on about the Nexus phone line being discontinued and Hong’s statement has only given more fuel to it. From what we have heard, the Nexus programme being discontinued altogether in favor of a broader 'Silver' effort from Google.
So we are left wondering if the Nexus 6 is ever going to be a reality. Even if the phone has to be made, at least we are sure that it will not be made by LG. It is most likely that LG is working with Google on the silver project which can possibly debut next year.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
