The actor was flown from Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford after a door from the Millennium Falcon spacecraft on set fell on him. And as he reaches day four in hospital, Flockhart is jetting to be by his side.
While it is understood the 71-year-old actor broke his ankle, it is now feared his injuries could be worse than previously thought.
Confirming her impending arrival in the UK, Calista told The Telegraph she was ‘en route’.
While Harrison recovers, film bosses are thrashing out a schedule to work around the actor’s absence and hope he will return soon to film shots from the waist up.
Although little more detail has been released by Ford’s agent, the Daily Mail reports that a nurse on Ford’s specialist unit, who goes by the name of Blonde Miss Bond, tweeted: ‘Surreal experience to have Harrison Ford’s medical notes in the office.’
However, her account has now been made private and the hospital has released a statement saying: ‘We would have to verify the tweet and we would look into it.’
A spokesman for Star Wars Episode 7′s producer Disney said: ‘Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. ‘He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates reports Metro.’
