World Cup: Germany and United States tied in Group G

Yesterday, the United States tied with Portugal in a dramatic game. The good thing about this is that Germany and the USA team have now both 4 points in Group G. Everybody is waiting for the match United States against Germany taking place on Thursday. The US team is coached by famous German Juergen Klinsmann. He coached the German team at the last World Cup. He led the German team to the 3rd spot in the World Cup 2006.

The match between Team USA and Germany will determine the winner of Group G.

Two teams will advance from each group. All four teams in Group G have still the theoretical chance to do so. This means Germany and the United States have to do everything to win to make sure they advance to the next round in the World Cup 2014.

Germany showed weakness in the game against Ghana after showing a tremendous performance against Portugal. At this point it is hard to say who will have the upper hand in the upcoming match between US and Germany.

German's Klose is uber motivated as he could break the record of most FIFA World Cup goals ever by a single player. In the Ghana match he equaled Ronaldo's 15 goal record. Klose celebrated with his signature somersault (See the photos). Let's see if he has reason to do another one during the game against team USA.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
