Welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was ignored by rapper T.I.'s wife at the BET on June 29.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was ignored by T.I.'s wife at the BET Awards at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on June 29.
"Floyd Mayweather, Jr. tried to re-connect with rapper T.I.'s wife on the red carpet of the BET Awards, but she was having none of it -- possibly to avoid another Floyd/T.I. brawl.
"Tiny was doing an interview on the red carpet Sunday night when Floyd came rolling by with his girl. He tried to get her attention -- calling her name and trying to grab her elbow -- but she ignored him and just hightailed it out of there.
"It's amazing that Floyd would do this, since...as TMZ previously reported...it was Floyd's relationship with Tiny that set off the Floyd/T.I. fight at Fatburger in Las Vegas last month.
"Round 2, anyone?"
Mayweather also treated his girlfriend Doralie Medina to a $70,000 shopping spree before the event and showed off his third Bugatti Veyron supercar at the after party, per DailyMail.co.uk's Callum Keown:
"Floyd Mayweather Jnr was in typically lavish form as he flexed his muscles behind the wheels of his newly-purchased THIRD Bugatti Veyron on Sunday night.
"The undefeated fighter was leaving a BET Awards show after party in LA with his girlfriend Doralie Medina.
"The current WBC and WBA welterweight champion has been taking time off from boxing after his victory over Argentinian Marcos Maidana back in May. The points victory was Mayweather's 46th professional win.
"After announcing his split with fiancee Shantel Jackson last month, Mayweather wasted little time hooking up with his former massage therapist 30-year-old Doralie Medina.
"Mayweather recently beat Cristiano Ronaldo and LeBron James to be named the world's highest-paid athlete by Forbes Magazine after making $105 million (£62.5m) from his last two fights.
"The five-weight world champion treated his girlfriend to a $70,000 shopping spree before the BET awards show hosted at the Nokia Theater in LA.
"Daniel Sturridge was also in attendance, recovering from England's World Cup woes as was snubbed French star Samir Nasri.
"Mayweather is set to return to the ring on September 13 but his opponent is yet to be confirmed.
"A rematch with Marcos Maidana appears the most likely outcome, the Argentinian gave Mayweather one of the toughest challenges of his illustrious career last time around."
In another development, WBA light middleweight champion Erislandy Lara, who will face Saul "Canelo" Alvarez on July 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, told ESPN's Dan Rafael he would like to fight Mayweather soon.
He said,"Right now my focus is on Canelo and once I beat him then I'll be looking at other options. For sure, 100 percent I want Floyd Mayweather after this fight. He's considered the best fighter in the world and I want to be the first one to dethrone him."
