Apple Releases Official New Security Lock Adapter Accessory For Mac Pro

The Mac Pro being one of the most expensive of all the computers out there is always a good target for thieves and after buying something this expensive, we instinctively begin to take care of it more than we would do for the usual stuff. Up until now we had been protecting our computers in our own ways or getting help from expensive third parties. But now this is going to change for the better because Apple has decided to take matters in its own hands. Apple brings the Mac Pro Security Lock Adapter which at $49 is a very reasonable price to pay for an expensive belonging.

This adapter has been designed to provide protection to your Mac Pro and works by connecting to Kensington or similar locks. The great added benefit you get here is that it prevents anyone from removing the Mac Pro’s lid for a gander at its internals. You wont find this lock system in your closeby brick and mortar stores but you can surely order it online. Apple stores are expected to have these by the end of this week.

“The Mac Pro Security Lock Adapter lets you use a compatible Kensington or similar style third-party lock (sold separately) to keep your Mac Pro secure. The adapter attaches without tools and does not modify or damage the Mac. With a compatible lock connected, the Mac Pro Lock Adapter secures the housing to the enclosure, preventing access to internal components.”
