Hurricane Arthur is gaining strength on the East Coast of the United States. Arthur graduated to a hurricane early Thursday morning. Hurricane Arthur is the first hurricane of the season.
Arthur is right now in front of the coasts of Georgia and South Carolina, heading toward the North Carolina shoreline. In addition to coastal flooding, dangerous rip currents will impact much of the East Coast through this weekend due to Hurricane Arthur says the National Weather service.
If you planned a nice coastal 4th of July party in the east coast, you likely need to change plans. Watch below a new report from CNN Weather on the Hurricane Arthur situation.
#HurricaneArthur is already the top trending hashtag on Twitter today. See some photos from the coast below that show the calm signs before the storm.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
